Patty Kimmel 6th Grade

Hi! My name is Patty Kimmel. I am enjoying my first year of teaching at Doe Elementary. The faculty, staff, students, and their families have all made me feel at home right away.

My husband and I moved to Johnson County a year ago from Clarksville, TN. We have three grown children, as well as two precious grandchildren.

I received a Bachelor of Science degree from Austin Peay State University, and a Master's degree from Trevecca Nazarene University.

I enjoy reading, and traveling. I have been fortunate enough to visit over half of the United States, in addition to six other countries.

We are working hard this year in sixth grade. Among many other concepts, we will be studying Algebra, Ancient Civilizations, Vascular and Non-Vascular plants, as well as working on improving writing and reading comprehension.

I strive to pass on the love of reading to all my students, and encourage them to spend time reading something they enjoy each evening.
