Mrs. Evelyn Ainsworth

My name is Mrs. Evelyn Ainsworth. I am married, have four children, and five grandchildren. Children are an important part of my life and the reason I chose teaching as a profession.

I have an Associate's Degree from Northeast State Technical Community College, a Bachelor's of Arts Degree with a major in Interdisciplinary Studies with licensure in PreK-6th from Virginia Intermont College. I am currently working on a Master's in Education Degree from ETSU. I am a life long learner and wish to instill the love of learning in my students.

This is my third year of teaching sixth grade, and I absolutely love working with this age group. We work hard, and learn many new and wonderful things. Our class received  the 4-H 6th grade club of the year Award in 2005-2006 for Johnson County and we are in the running for the same honor for the 2007-2008 school year.

My favorite hobby is reading a good book. The adventures transport me to locations all over the world, adding new meaning to the phrase "Books take you places."  Contact me at eainsworth@k12tn.net
