Our School

Doe Elementary School was built in 1952 in the Doe Valley area of Johnson County Tennessee. Johnson County is in upper east Tennessee and borders both North Carolina and Virginia. The school sits on a hill and overlooks the beautiful Appalachian Mountains.

Four new classrooms, a teacher workroom, and storage rooms were added to the school in 1997-98. The new construction project gave our school 8 new classrooms, a new office, library, gymnasium and related arts classrooms.

As you can see, Doe does not lack in beauty. Our school is surrounded by beautiful mountains and trees. We feel very fortunate to be able to learn in this environment.

We are pleased and proud of our playground. Our Parent Council  has been working hard for several years to raise money to buy safe and fun equipment for our students.
